Start, run: ipconfig /release so long as you're directly connected to the modem that is
Control panel, network connections, right click properties on local area connection, general tab, internet protocol properties, tick use the following ip address and change it to whatever you wish: example: 222.222.222.222 and make sure the subnet mask stays as default 255.255.255.0.

Go back to network connections, right click properties on local area connection, general tab, internet protocol properties and this time hit obtain an IP address automatically, hit ok and voila. New IP! Takes what, 20 seconds? Boo hoo hoo!

I have been trying to do this all day. it doesn't seem to work for me. I do all the steps, but when I click "obtain an IP address automatically" it just gives me back the same exact IP address I released, I dunno what I am doing wrong. I am using windows vista, Verizon Fios, with a Wi Fi Router, my computer is the main computer with the router directly plugged into it. 2 other computers have the wi fi adapters which link to the router.

Yeah i figured you where going to say something like that, because i am connected to a router so i guess i should change the ethernet from my router to connect directly to my modem to pc..err that doesn't make any sense but you get the gist XD

What he was saying is 100% true but I wouldn't recommend doing it. People on here think TQ staff are dumb but they really are not that bad. For example I believe it was in 2006 the christmas event you received a piece of candy logging in and than every 5 minutes playing you received one. Well all people were doing was logging in, claiming the candy, and than logout. Over and over again and they caught on real quickly. I'm just saying is it worth a met or even a +1 stone (I personally dont mind + stones as a gift). Not to many people will receive a ToughDrill or SuperGem.

Another thing you can do without risking anything is just do the smash at a friends house (if they dont play co) and than when you get home logout of conquer and back in. You will have a system message saying you have X prizes to claim.

In addition to the failure to log time when you dc, I think they may only be counting full hours logged in at a stretch.

That might explain why one of my characters worked off daily spells of 100 mins' enlightenment and spent a night in the TG but only ended up with 9 hours logged. He kept getting logged off while working off his enlightenment so I could trade stuff between characters.

The theory still needs to be tested, though.

There's no risk changing your IP rofl. It'd be the same as if your power goes out and your IP is automatically reset. They can't prove anything. You could have several computers that put out the same IP address. Doesn't mean they can do anything to you for making it seem as if you're using multi client as well. Either way, I got 2 comps to do things on if need be I just prefer the easier way out.

Good thing you have 2 computers as each computer has a MAC address on the internet card. Just the same though I doubt they would go as far as checking the MAC address but you never know.

Only thing they check MAC address for is their polls on the site. You can't rig the polls so to speak. At least not so easily anyways. Seems to me that if you try to vote with a very similar IP, one that barely differs from an IP that has already voted, then it won't let you vote. That or they actually do register MAC addresses. It's not hard to change it too. However, too many steps to do so lol.

You can rig the polls easily. Changing mac takes 1 second to spoof it btw.

They updated it to let players know how it works a little better. I login at 00:01 and logout at 23:59. If I lose 2 hours a day doing that I still make the needed hours (66 hours). Website says you must login and out the same day for it to count.
